Plywood, contact microphones, amplifiers, speakers.
Room 1.40, Gerrit Rietveld Academy and KunstVlaai artfair 2010.
A series of contact microphones are attached under the sheets of wood. The microphones are connected to a set of amplifiers and speakers visible in the room.
As the visitors cross the floor their movements resonates through the wood and are intensified through the microphones, amplifying the sounds of the visitor’s actions.
